HOLIDAYS ON THE ROAD

When all you do is tour, you spend a lot of holidays away from home. So far on this trip we've been lucky enough to enjoy both Thanksgiving & Damian's Birthday in exciting and exotic places. Thanksgiving was a day off, and a drive from Omaha to Minneapolis mostly through Iowa. We looked for a place to eat the traditional holiday meal amongst the sprawling dead cornfields and were lucky enough to find a Thanksgiving buffet somewhere in north-east Iowa just before closing. It came complete with a slice of pumpkin pie and your choice of regular or cinnamon whipped topping.

On Monday we celebrated the Damian's Birthday in Columbus Ohio with Atomic hot-dogs, our friends Audacity and Times New Viking & everyone at the show. The evening became extra special when someone showed up with a surprise cake for Damian and everyone sang Happy Birthday during our set. Looking forward to spending many many more holidays on the road...

NEW TOUR ONLY RELEASE:Tapes Volume 1 Tentacles Era

This NEW RELEASE is the first of a series of handmade by the band tapes. It contains 21 tracks of rare, demo and other previously unreleased artifacts. The material for the series is compiled from thousands of home-recorded work tapes. The series will be limited to only 250 tapes per volume.
The focus of this tape is the era surounding our record Tentacles which was released in April 2009. It contains many demo & work tape versions of songs which in most cases are the first moments in their creation. It also contains a few studio out-takes and alternative versions recorded at various places along the way. It will be available on our current US tour with The Big Pink & Audacity as well as our Spring European Tour.
